Feeling sage from terrorism? Think again!

Security of living in America as we know it has recently forever changed.  Pods is a novel that depicts fictionally what we all should be aware of, even though amidst of having the strongest military in the world making us feel relatively secure, we still need to be alert and on guard of what might come our way.  The American life-style of comfortably taking things for granted is now a part of cultural history.

Albegoti is a group of four highly intelligent, well educated men, who after closely watching the Americans with all their might attack Iraq in 1991, decide to take world changing matters into their own hands.  A devious, lethal, and calculated plan was devised by Shakir Omer, the leader of Albegoti.  Using southwestern Pakistan, the Makran Coast, as their home base, Shakir and three others put their plan into action and after ten years of designing, building, and getting things ready, they now have the selected army, the crafted bio-chemical weapons, and the drive to bring the free world to its knees, forcing the world giants to become humble ultimately forcing them into an equality that had only been seen once before-- the beginning of mankind.

The attack takes place methodically, and strategically, using what the free world deems to be its power against them--ignorance and a overwhelming feeling of self-worth.  Causing diversion prior to their attack is a key element in this planned attack, as Shakir Omer uses Al-Qeada, Hamas, and the Taliban as ponds in his master plan making their actions seem like a walk in the park in comparison of what is to come.

Pods is a fictitious drama that disturbingly shows that when we least expect it, we should expect it.

After the attack occurs, Shakir's plan is to have the key people who executed flawlessly and without detection converge into Lebanon to live out the rest of their lives in Islamic freedom, safety, and in peace all in a gated resort community in the small Mediterranean port village of Sidon, which as a part of the master plan, was funded and constructed just for them.

Pods is truly a suspenseful, powerful, and intriguing story from Richard P. Tanos, which shows on one hand how easily four men could execute such an attack and then after the attack how hard it is for the terrorist group Albegoti to accept the devastation, keep under the radar, revel in their accomplishments, and then police themselves.

Simple everyday things like breathing fresh air, and drinking clean fresh water while we enjoy the comforts of a free world will never be looked at in the same way once you read Pods.

The National Bureau of Braille and Talking Book Services has recorded Pods  and can now be ordered for the sight impaired.
