Ursula Turner
Hello there... Have a nice day

Ursula Turner, now retired, lives in Coffeyville, Kansas, with her husband Jack and their two dogs, Buddee and Shadow. Ursula is currently in the process of writing a featured novel about her childhood in war-time Germany.
For nine years Ursula Turner, Lifestyle Editor for the Coffeyville Journal, wrote a weekly column she called "Bits ’n Pieces." She started each column with ‘Hello there…" and ended them with "Have a nice day," covering numerous topics. This book contains a collection of her favorites.
"Ursula Turner sees our world from a vantage point that few ever experience. Born in Germany, she saw and heard the ravages of war. Such experiences are imbedded in her memory, partly as scars but mostly as daily reminders that life is a wonderful journey if you set out to make it that way. Her writing tells about watching the red birds, hitting the local rummage sales, writing for her local newspaper and her disdain for many of today’s gadgets. Still, she clings to her love for the written word, a keen wit and zest for life, all of which come through in vivid color through the pages of this book. It is an honor to call her my friend and a fellow author." - Rudy Taylor – Newspaper publisher and author
"This book, a compilation of the author’s favorite columns when she was a successful columnist for the Coffeyville Journal, sent me on a nostalgic trip into my past, making me remember things long forgotten. Many of her columns for the Lifestyle section of the paper were filled with light, dry humor, and they’re all easy to read – no deep thinking required except for reminiscing." - Joann Williams, President, Kansas Authors Club
